How the Journey Started
My journey into the world of cocktails and spirits started during my university days, not in classrooms but behind the bar. I worked as a bartender in nightclubs, where I was thrown straight into the heart of nightlife. It was loud, fast-paced, and chaotic — but I loved it. That environment opened my eyes to the world of mixology, and I became obsessed with the craft behind each drink: the balance, the flair, the way a cocktail could shift the energy of a night.
After graduating, I took things up a notch, landing a role at a well-known rooftop bar on Oxford Street. It was there I received professional training in wines and spirits and completed my WSET Level 1 in Wines. I began to understand not just how to make drinks, but how to elevate them — how spirits, flavour profiles, and presentation could turn a basic serve into a full sensory experience.
Driven by that passion, I launched my first brand, Sober Limited, which focused on delivering pre-made cocktails in dispensers for private events and functions. It gave me a taste of running a business, but I quickly realised my skills in mixology needed to be matched by a deeper understanding of business itself. So, I returned to university to complete my Master’s and refine the strategic side of what I wanted to build.
From there, I entered the world of marketing, working with brands across Western Europe for three years. I learned how to run campaigns, build brand identity, and understand what makes people connect to a story.
Now, with Moe’s Tavern, I’m bringing everything together — the creativity from mixology, the discipline of business, and the strategy of brand building. This isn’t just a cocktail platform — it’s a culmination of every step I’ve taken, and I’m just getting started.
